What is trackSAFE
trackSAFE is a not-for-profit Foundation, established by the Australian Rail Industry to address level crossing safety, trespass, and suicide on the rail network thereby improving the workplace for our rail industry employees.

trackSAFE aims to:

1. Improve level crossing safety through education and awareness programmes;
2. Reduce rail trespass;
3. Reduce suicide and suicide attempts on our rail network; and
4. Provide world's best practice support for rail industry employees who experience trauma as a result of being exposed to one of the above incidents.

trackSAFE will bring together rail operators, road users, emergency services, community providers and the police force to make a significant difference in the number of incidents and the resultant trauma on our rail employees.

By taking a national approach the aim is to build on existing programs and initiatives, spread best practice across operators, and bring wider public attention to these issues.
